People of Nowhere*

  • There has never been a more important time to help Syrian refugees
    in any way you can.
  • Syria’s civil war is the worst humanitarian crisis of our time.
  • Half the country’s pre-war population — more than 11 million people — have been killed or forced to flee their homes.
  • 75% of Syrian refugees are women and children.
  • Fewer than 1% of Syria’s refugees will ever get a chance to be resettled overseas.
  • Five years after the civil war began, at least 250,000 people have died.
  • 4 million refugees now live outside Syria and at least 8 million are displaced
    inside the country.
  • What will you say when one day you're asked, "What did you do for the refugees?"

Humanity’s Heart is here to witness and share the experiences of those people turning up and responding to the largest humanitarian crisis since World War II.

We seek to connect people wishing to learn more about, or help those affected by, this crisis with the initiatives that are supporting those fleeing conflict.

Humanity's Heart Trailer

Screening of 'Humanity Rising in the Refugee Crisis' - May 2017

Our film details a journey to the heart of what makes us human, touchingly explored through the personal stories of refugees, volunteers, ordinary people, academics and spiritual leaders, capturing how the largest humanitarian crisis since WWII is effecting us all.

The event had panel discussions with interfaith leaders, charities and initiatives who are on the ground supporting those fleeing wars and repression and the voices of Syrians (refugees) who now live in the UK. They shared their own personal stories and the help they received along the way in the crisis of our time.
